What's the Difference of Nylon 66 and Nylon 6 cable ties?

PA6.6 (Polyamide 66 or nylon 66)

PA6.6 is more widely used in the automotive industry, instrument housings and other applications

Features

1. Polyamide 6.6 plastic has good rigidity, wear resistance and thermal dimensional stability.

PA6

Nylon6 or polycaprolactam is a polymer developed by Paul Schlack at IG Farben to reproduce the properties of nylon 6,6 without violating the patent on its production.

2. Mold Temperature: 60℃~100℃

3. Mold Pressure: 1000~1600bar

4. Density: 1.12g/m³

Features

1. Easy to process, with high tensile strength,Impact resistance and ideal wear resistance

2. chemical resistance, self-lubrication and low friction coefficient, and Oil resistance is better than PA66.

3. PA6 has a higher water absorption rate, so its dimensional stability is poor
